The addition of The BBQ Cookoff to The Fajita Cookoff showed duplication in the logistics leading to the Event day. It was thought that running two seperate Events with seperate identities would be best.</span></span></p>
<p align="left"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The decision has been made to combine the efforts of SetUp teams, Volunteers, and Judges to be run under ONE ORGANIZATIONAL GROUP called &quot; RGV COOKOFF&quot;. If sponsers would like to talk with Chris about our &quot;Cookoff System&quot; for your City event, or get involved with the LARGEST and OLDEST Cookoff Organizers in the Rio Grande Valley to date.</span></span></p>

<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%;"><font face="Times New Roman">By popular demand, the first day of competition will be sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers Association and will include three categories:<span style="">&nbsp;</span> Brisket, Pork Spare Ribs and &frac12; Chicken.<span style="">&nbsp;</span> The 2<sup>nd</sup> day of competition will be the traditional    <i style="">Fajita Cook Off</i> with    two categories &ndash; Traditional and Gourmet Fajitas.<span style="">&nbsp;</span> Sunday&rsquo;s competition will not    be sanctioned but will retain the previously established    rules.<span style="">&nbsp;</span> Contestants    can enter the competition individually or as a team for one or    both days.</font></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%;"><font face="Times New Roman">As part of the <i style="">PalmFest International Folklife Celebration</i>, with all of its cultural entertainment, civil war re-enactments, art shows, car shows, remote control cars, aircraft and watercraft, volleyball tournament, children&rsquo;s activities, and Batman (yes, the real Batman), this year&rsquo;s <i style="">Cook Off</i> will be a fun and festive weekend for the entire family.</font></span></p>
